 Jamie is the loving and caring Mother of her 3 (now he is 4) year old Kaden. About 4 years ago she began experiencing a sudden onset of an odd assortment of symptoms including severe fatigue, heart arrhythmias, tachycardia, migraines, blurry vision, numbing, severe insomnia, muscle twitching, and severe body pain. These symptoms began to worsen as doctors could not figure out what was wrong with her. Finally, after a year of seeing numerous doctors she was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. The Lyme Western Blot test results came back CDC positive. Unfortunately, the bacteria that causes Lyme had ravaged her body and had entered her central nervous system and brain. In a tragic twist, now that Jamie has a confirmed diagnosis that has a known treatment (intravenous antibiotics), she now finds herself unable to work, without any health insurance, or any means of supporting herself, and her condition continued to rapidly worsen. Her situation worsened as seizures required trips to the ER. Treatment is estimated to cost $25,000, and is about halfway done. Once the infection is treated she should be able to resume a normal life again. Jamie plans to start a non-profit patient advocate fundraising organization once she is well enough. Normally, family would step in to assist. Unfortunately, both of Jamie's parents died a year ago. Jamie was at her mothers bedside, and very sick with Lyme, when her mother passed. The stress of losing both her mother and father was a significant life stressor and exacerbated her symptoms. . Her family is doing what they can but it isn't nearly enough. Jamie is the warmest and best of souls, a special person who has so much to offer. Always self-reliant and doing for herself, she now is reliant on the kindness of strangers. Finally, I, the creator of this site, has a hypothesis, that a single soul, acting out of unconditional love and empathy, can start a chain reaction, somehow effecting other souls to act out of unconditional love and empathy, and that this chain reaction of positive energy and emotion connects all these souls, grows boundlessly and changes the darkness of our world into light.
